How to save up to $200 on a dehumidifier?
As a site owner of a dehumidifier site, I love to find information about dehumidifiers and share them here at AirDehumidifier.com. There are tons of “price comparison script” (ads lol) on this site that will allow you the get the best bargain in the market, but I am yet to find a hot deal or slick deal to share with you that will pop your eyes. I don’t know how many of you will spend time comparing prices before you buy a dehumidifier, but it is definitely not a bad idea to see what other options you have before you come to the final decision on buying a dehumidifier.
To have a sense of how much money you will save, please have a look at the original price of a Santa Fe Dehumidifier (Click on the pic to enlarge):
Notice that shipping, which costs about $50 bucks, is NOT included in the case. You are expected to pay around $1100 to get this brand new dehumidifier home.
Now let’s have a look at how much it costs:
Yes! The EXACT same model is selling for only $800 (shipping included) on ebay.
So what is the catch?
They are all brand new items. However, if you read the description carefully, you will notice a line saying the “Item may have cosmetic defects (scratch / dent damage) that do not affect its functionality”. My view is that if you are looking for a “brand new” dehumidifier that can function properly without much concern on its appearance, it is a real slick deals for you.

How about a 100% brand new dehumidifier?
Most deals on ebay, which is usually 20% to 30% off the “market price”, are so-called refurbished, open box or store demo item (but brand new in terms of its functionality). If you DO want a 100% brand new dehumidifier, there is still a high chance you can save up to 5% to 7%. Once you have a specific model of dehumidifier in mind (e.g. Soleus CFM-40 or Whirlpool AD70USS), do a quick search on price comparison site like shopping.com or shopzilla.com using its model number to see where you can find a better deal.
